The ancient ring of six at Lytchett Matravers has been completely restored and will ring out at Christmas. Working with 24 volunteers locally, Taylor’s removed the bells and manufactured all new ringing fittings, while local volunteers set about restoring their cast iron bell frame and doing all other restoration work necessary before the bells returned. The result is a complete success as the following comments show:-
Jack Pease wrote, “The bells are undoubtedly one of the easiest in the branch and possibly the Guild. A first class job by John Taylor & Co.”
Alan Bentley wrote, “An excellent ring of six now, congratulations to Taylor’s for their expertise.”
Emma Rushbrooke & Anne Manning wrote, “So lovely to hear our bells again, and what a difference the restoration has made. It’s wonderful.”
