Heritage Open Days took place throughout the country over the weekend of 11th/12th September and we were please to open the Foundry to the public. Several hundred visitors took advantage of the opportunity and, judging from the comments received on the day, it proved to be a great success. Guides took tours around the works at regular intervals and new bells were cast on both days in the presence of the public, our local M.P. and the leader of Charnwood Council. A number of workshops, including one on tower maintenance, took place and various bell related activities were available throughout the weekend.
