This 22 cwt ring of eight hangs in a composite oak and cast iron bell frame which was installed in 1903 and is the work of John Sully. The bells will be removed from the tower and brought back to Loughborough. Mainly new ringing fittings will be manufactured for all the bells, and some conservation tuning will be undertaken on two of them before they are rehung at Almondsbury.
I just wanted to thank you for all your help and advice, and to let you know that we installed the reprofiled 6 & 7, and the wooden shafted tenor clappers last Saturday, and that we are extremely pleased with the result. We can now chime all three bells with ease and raise them correctly. The band were impressed with the result. Thank you.
