Maintenance work will be carried out to keep this 30 cwt Taylor eight in good order. The clappers and crown staple of the fifth bell will be restored, and work to reattach shrouding to the bell wheels will be undertaken, and all the wheels will be treated with preservative. The massive Grimthorpe oak bell frame, dating from 1858, will have all its metal components cleaned and re-painted.
