St Etheldreda's Parish Church
The back four of this 7 cwt ring of six are the work of William & Henry III Bagley and date from 1706. Taylor’s added two treble bells in 2014, and extended the bellframe in oak to match the 1706 frame. It has now been decided to replace one of the timbers of the sub-frame as this is now considered to be too decayed and weak. Our craftsmen have fashioned a beam in two sections, and this will be spliced and plated in stainless steel on site.
The replacement oak beam has been manufactured from me wonderful oak we originally supplied in 1916!
