Annealing Wrought Iron Clappers.

taylorbellswebsite

Sets of wrought iron clappers come into the Foundry every week for restoration. While they are here a part of the restoration process involves annealing them in the furnace to restore their ductility. This is an old process used by blacksmiths for centuries and makes them far less likely to fracture. This part of the restoration process is almost unique to Taylor's in the bell industry!
