Ardleigh, Essex, The Parish Church of St Mary the Virgin.

The tower of this church houses a 13 cwt eight with the front seven being cast and hung by Taylor's in 1955 and with an ancient tenor bell by Robert Burford cast circa 1410 which was tuned by Taylor's in 1955.

The ring is to be augmented to ten with two treble bells. The contractors for this project are Blyth & Co and the bells will be cast and tuned and supplied to them for hanging.

• These bells were cast on Thursday 10th October.

• The bells are being fettled prior to tuning.

• The bells have been tuned.

• All is ready for dispatch.
