Town Clerk, Pamela Lavelle, wrote after the panic of finding their bell broken beyond repair:-
"Helston Town Council are very grateful for the support and assistance of Taylor Bells with the replacement of the bell at the Guildhall. The bell had a significant traditional role to play, ringing out the start of the dances at Helston Flora Day on 8th May, which meant that the manufacture and installation of the bell was very time sensitive. Taylor Bells pulled out all the stops to ensure our beautiful new bell was installed in time for the event and we appreciate their skill and knowledge. Our particular thanks to Simon Adams for his support above and beyond the initial project."
