The tower of this church houses a lovely 17 cwt Taylor eight that date from 1969. The bells are very popular and over 500 full peals have been rung on them over the years. Maintenance work less than two years ago was undertaken and involved the replacement of the gudgeons & bearings on four headstocks. Now the parish has placed an order for the complete refurbishment of all eight clappers and crown staples. The clappers will be re-profiled and annealed in the furnace before new bronze bushes and stainless steel centre pins are fitted.
These clappers will be delivered to the church for fitting by local ringers.
All is ready for dispatch.
