This church houses a 14 cwt eight cast at Whitechapel between 1635 & 1736. The cupola of the tower also formerly housed a service bell that was removed many years ago.
An order has now been placed for the casting of a new 26" diameter bell, weighing 4 cwts. to replace the missing service bell. The bell will be hung for swing chiming on a cast iron headstock with counter-balanced clapper and will be swung using a linear electric motor.
The mould for this bell is being made
This bell was cast on Thursday 26th September.
The new cast iron headstock has been cast.
The bell has been tuned.
All is ready for dispatch.
