Truro Cathedral Clock Tower, Cornwall.

The North-West Tower of this cathedral houses a 33 cwt Taylor twelve, but its clock tower, with green copper spire, houses a Westminster Chime and a 6 cwt sanctus bell.

The sanctus bell is the work of Pack & Chapman's Whitechapel Foundry and dates from 1770. The bell will be lowered into its pit and its hardwood headstock and strapwork will be removed and taken to Loughborough. A new hardwood headstock will be manufactured and carved to accommodate the bell's canons. New strapwork will also be manufactured before the bell is rehung.

This work is in progress.
