The central tower of this church houses a classic Taylor eight with a tenor weighing 14 cwts. Maintenance work will be carried out to keep all in good order. Rope guiding flapper boards will be fitted in the middle chamber to make the bells easier to handle. The rope roller boxes will be refurbished with new hardwood pulleys turning on enclosed ball bearings. The tie rods of the 1937 Hardwood bell frame will be tensioned correctly, and a full service of the bells will be undertaken.
This project is underway.
