The Hope Bells Project.

Charnwood Borough Council has decided that a Westminster chime with a 25 cwt hour bell should be cast as a lasting memorial to all those in Charnwood who have lost their lives in the Covid 19 pandemic and as a tribute to NHS and key workers. It will also be a beacon of hope for the future. The hour bell will be known and inscribed as “The Hope Bell”, all all five bells will hang in a free standing structure to be sited in Queen’s Park, Loughborough near the War Memorial Carillon tower.
Update
The three smallest bells of the Westminster chime were cast during the Foundry Open Weekend of 11th & 12th September.
The bells have been dug up and are fine castings - fettling next.
Fettling has been completed.
The bells have been tuned.
