The Rustington Convalescent Home
The cupola above the main entrance of this building houses a 39″ Warner bell weighing 11 cwts. The bell is used to sound the hours with the clock mechanism placed beneath. The bell is in a dangerous state as its supporting ironwork has eroded significantly. It will be lowered and new supporting ironwork will be manufactured before it is rehung. The clock hammer will be fully restored and replaced.
The bell has been safely lowered and the old components transported to the Foundry.
