The Parish Church of St Mary the Virgin.

United Kingdom

The P.C.C. of this church has placed an order for  the larger of their two bells to be conserved and rehung, and for the strengthening of their oak bell frame. The existing full circle ringing fittings will be removed after advice from their diocese about the fragility of the bell frame, and new fittings for stationary chiming will be manufactured before the bell is rehung.

The small bell is at Loughborough and has been conserved.
On dismantling, the bell frame was found to contain severe rot and will need major repair.
