This beautiful Elizabethan Country House just outside Stamford, Lincolnshire houses three clock bells in one of its towers. The bells are to be removed to Loughborough for conservation and rehanging. The cast-in crown staples of all three bells will be removed and the hour bell is to be rehung for swing chiming on traditional fittings with a new hardwood headstock and refurbished wrought iron lever and clapper. The ting tang quarter bells will be rehung with new bell pads and bell bolts, and trigger action clappers for manual chiming. The electro-magnetic hammers for all three bells will be reinstated.
* These bells have been removed and are at the Foundry.
