The 12 cwt ring of six in this tower was augmented and rehung in a new cast iron bell frame by Taylor’s in 1947. An order has been placed for the bells to be lifted from their pits for the cleaning/replacing of their main bearings. The clappers, crown staples and rope roller boxes will be returned to Loughborough for restoration before the bells are rehung.
