The western turret of this church houses a single Taylor bell that dates from 1908. The 4.5 cwt. bell hangs on a counter balanced cast iron headstock but with no bearings or swinging facility and has always been chiming from an internal clapper.
An order has been received to restore the bell in situ. New bell bolts will be supplied and fitted, and the stone corbels the headstock sits on will be replaced with new ones of stainless steel. The clapper, crown staple will be restored, and the centre bolt will be replaced. The headstock will be cleaned and and repainted, and a new roller and bell rope will be supplied and fitted.
