New traditional fittings including a hardwood headstock, bell wheel, clapper, crown staple, rope roller box and transmission are to be manufactured before rehanging.

* This bell has been removed and is at Loughborough.

* Conservation work has been completed and the bell’s cast in crown staple has been removed.

* The cleaning of the bell by sandblasting is the next step.
