The tower of this church houses an 8 cwt ring of six, the work of five different founders dating between 1638 & 1993.A major restoration was carried out by The Whitechapel Bell Foundry in 1994 when the bells were rehung and augmented with a newly cast treble bell and extension bell frame.

Maintenance work will now be carried out to improve matters and keep the installation in good order. A new rope guide at ground floor level and flapper boards in the middle chamber will be designed and manufactured to help with the handling of this ground floor ring..All the bells will be lifted from their pits and their bearings cleaned/replaced as necessary. The rope roller boxes will be restored with new hardwood rollers, and new bell bolts will be fitted to the fifth bell. Two sliders wil be replaced and the fourth bell clapper will be re profiled to improve its timing. Galebreaker screen will be manufactured and fitted to the louvre openings to keep out the worst of the weather.
