We have been pleased to welcome Nigel Taylor to the Foundry this week. Nigel spent many years as the Master Bell Tuner at The Whitechapel Bell Foundry before its closure and has recently developed a technique to tune old bells harmonically. Thus it was that we were pleased to employ Nigel as a Consultant to teach our bell tuner, Girdar Vadukar, how to re-shape the soundbows of a ring of 19th century bells to produce such a musical effect.
