The larger tower of this school contains an 1899 10 cwt. Warner chime of eight, cast to ringing weights, but sounded by Ellacombe Chiming Hammers. The smaller tower houses a clock chime of three bells – the work of Thomas Mears of Whitechapel and cast in 1835. The largest of these weighs 2.5 cwts..
An order has been placed for maintenance work to the wooden headstocks and bell frame of the three clock bells. The bells will be lowered and their headstocks will be taken to Loughborough for treating and for the manufacture of new stainless steel canon straps. The bell frame will similarly be treated with preservative before the bells are rehung.
