The central tower of this Abbey Church houses two Taylor bells. The slow swinging larger bell weighs over 2 tons, and last year we provided a new counter-balanced clapper and crown staple.
An order has now been received for work to be undertaken to the smaller of the two bells. A new bell pad will be manufactured and fitted, the bearings will be replaced, and the bearing housings modified.
This project has been completed.
