The 7 cwt ring of three in this steeple was last rehung in a cast iron frame by Taylor’s in 1888.
The P.C.C. has placed an order for the manufacture and installation of ladder access to conform with modern Health & Safety standards. A folding companionway ladder will be manufactured for access from the ground floor to the first floor of the steeple. A fixed ladder in the intermediate chamber will be manufactured and fitted to give access to the belfry, and a similar fixed ladder will provide access within the belfry.
