This tower houses a 9 cwt ring of six, last rehung in a new cast iron frame by Taylor’s in 2005.
The P.C.C. has now ordered new lattice work hardwood screens to replace the rotten louvre openings. Stainless steel wire mesh will be fixed to the inner faces of the new screens to prevent bird ingress, and “Galebreaker” will be fitted behind this to prevent water ingress..
