The 16 cwt eight in this tower comprises a back six which were tuned and rehung by Taylor’s in 1922, and two trebles by Whitechapel from 1969. Major work will now be undertaken on the clappers and crown staples.
Four of the clappers will have new barrel top ends fire forge welded before all eight will be annealed. All eight clappers and crown staples will be restored with new bushes/pins etc.
