Working as sub-contractors to White’s of Appleton, Taylor’s is to cast two new treble bells to augment the former ring of six from Woodlesford, Leeds to eight. All eight bells will be tuned at Appleton. The Woodlesford bells had been rehung on new fittings by Taylor’s in 1939.

New cast iron headstocks will be supplied with the trebles and three additional headstocks will also be cast and supplied to White’s.

* The moulds for the treble bells are being made.

* The new headstocks were cast on 28th May.

* Gudgeons have been fitted to the headstocks.

* The new trebles were cast on Thursday 25th June.

* The bells and headstocks have been dispatched to White’s.

The Taylor’s aspect of this project has been completed.
