Taylor’s Bellfoundry is renowned for casting and servicing a diverse range of bells, from single bells and handbells to peals of bells and grand carillons. Our specialist foundry work guarantees the highest quality and craftmanship, ensuring every bell we create and maintain meets our exacting standards.
Our traditional loam cast bells have a life expectancy of many centuries and, with a unique inscription being pressed into the mould before casting, make an ideal memorial to commemorate a special person or significant event.
Along with our bells, we also produce and restore a variety of bell fittings on site, including:

Bell Services
Inspections, Reporting, Quotations, Maintenance & Servicing, Conservation & Heritage
We provide a full spectrum of bell services, including free inspections, reporting and quotations on the UK mainland. Our annual/bi-annual maintenance and servicing contracts keep your bells in optimal condition. Our engineers travel worldwide fitting and maintaining bell installations, although we do ask clients to pay costs to cover overseas visits.
We are specialists in conservation and heritage work, preserving the historical integrity of your bells for future generations. Our craftsmen and engineers have extensive experience in restoring historic bells and their structures. We often work with bodies such as English Heritage and The Churches Conservation Trust to preserve the best of our heritage so that it can be enjoyed by future generations.
Building Services
Tower Building Work and Floors, Sound Control, Health & Safety
We provide expert services for bell towers, including construction, specialised flooring, and sound control solutions. Ensuring your bell tower is functional and safe is a shared responsibility, and we’re here to help you every step of the way.
By law, health and safety responsibilities rest with the Parochial Church Council (PCC), but we understand this can be complex—especially for volunteers. That’s why we work closely with you to ensure legal compliance is met confidently and competently.
Major bell restoration projects can be daunting, and managing multiple contractors can add to the challenge. To simplify the process, we offer a comprehensive quotation covering all aspects of the work, from installing new floors to implementing sound control. Additionally, Taylor’s is pleased to provide quotes for any associated building or electrical work, ensuring a seamless and coordinated approach to your project.
