The tower of this MInster Church houses a beautiful 40 cwt ring of twelve plus a flat 6th, all cast and installed by Taylor’s in 1932.An order has now been placed  for the casting of an extra treble bell to provide a light ring of ten, tenor 17 cwts. The bell will be cast in memory of  Catherine Ladd, a former Leeds ringer.

Additional framework, and all new ringing fittings will be manufactured to complete the project.

* the additional framework has been designed and manufactured and will now be galvanised.

* The bell mould is being prepared by Alex Johnson, a Leeds Minster Ringer and member of our staff at Taylor’s.

* The casting of the new bell took place on Thursday 18th June with Alex assisting in the pouring of the bell metal..

* All is ready for dispatch to Leeds after a final polish.

* The bell will be on display in the Minster from Friday 17th July and will be dedicated on Sunday 19th July at Morning Service.
